Discourse Community Publishing (DCP) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time, permanent community journalist position based in Sun Peaks, B.C., at Sun Peaks Independent News.
Across a seven-month period, the resident will have the opportunity to curate and develop several pieces of programming for PUBLIC Forum’s various digital publishing initiatives: exhibition, book, and film reviews; interviews; digital artist projects; and animations of PUBLIC Journal’s 36-year-long archive of articles, editorials, and artist portfolios.
Dr. Joceline Andersen in Communication and Visual Arts is hiring 1 undergraduate Media Production Research Assistant to work 5-10 hours per week from Jan-April 2026 on the production of a 7-9 minute, student-led original video. The rate is $24.60/hour for a total of 100 hours.

Teaching assistant work may include meeting with professors, marking assignments such as tests and essays, holding office hours to respond to student questions about the assignments or material, responding to student email queries, supervising lab hours, leading tutorial sessions, and invigilating exams, as well as other related work.
This paid student position will offer an opportunity for learners interested in digital media, public relations, and storytelling to gain hands-on experience while contributing to our faculty’s online presence.
