SHOOTER / CAMERA OPERATOR – Social Media

Location: BC Interior | Freelance / Project-Based

We’re looking for talented local BC Interior shooters to join the Big Time Decent Social Media
team. Ideally someone with a strong eye for composition, is adaptable and has a keen attention
to detail who is comfortable working in a variety of environments. If you enjoy a fast paced work
environment that rewards diligence and hard work then this may be for you.

Responsibilities include:
● Operating camera in mainly run-and-gun environments
● A strong attention to detail – ensuring cameras are setup and rolling at all times
● Setting up basic production audio when required
● Capturing cinematic, story-driven footage
● Organizing and backing up footage following production
● Create beat sheets/story points of what was captured for editors

Ideal candidate:
● Based in the BC Interior
● Professional or strong independent camera experience
● Has an interest in documentaries & follow-documentaries
● Comfortable working independently and adapting on location
● Osmo and action cam experience is an asset
● Reliable transportation is an asset
● Experience in social media/short form shooting is an asset

EDITOR – Social Media
Location: BC Interior | Freelance / Project-Based

We’re looking for talented local BC Interior editors to join the Big Time Decent Social Media
team. Ideally someone with a strong eye for short form/long form storytelling, is adaptable, able
to make quick decisions on the fly and has a keen attention to detail. If you enjoy a fast paced
work environment that rewards diligence and hard work then this may be for you.
We’re also looking for an editor who can take production footage and turn it into compelling,
polished stories.

Responsibilities include:
● Editing short form and long form content (Instagram/Tik Tok, Youtube, etc) for
multiple channels
● Building compelling stories from a library of footage
● Creating engaging pacing and narrative structure
● Ability to turnover high quality content on tight deadlines
● Maintaining an organized editing workflow and project files

Ideal candidate:
● Based in the BC Interior
● Strong storytelling and editing instincts
● Fast/able to make quick decisions with the edit within parameters.
● Proficient with Premiere Pro
● Organized, dependable, and able to meet tight deadlines
