CVA is hiring 3 TAs for Winter 2026!
A teaching assistant supports an instructor who is teaching a course. Teaching assistant work may include meeting with professors, marking assignments such as tests and essays, holding office hours to respond to student questions about the assignments or material, responding to student email queries, supervising lab hours, leading tutorial sessions, and invigilating exams, as well as other related work.
Ideally TAs are available during course hours. Textbooks and reading materials will be provided, and time spent reviewing these materials is part of the contract hours.
TAs are limited to 10 hours a week of work.
The compensation is $19.16/hour.
You are:
- 3rd or 4th year BCDJ or Visual Arts student, or graduate student with relevant experience
- ideally a former student in the course for which you are applying as a TA
- student with a strong GPA
- currently enrolled student taking at least 1 course in Winter 2026
