CVA is Hiring 3 TAs for Winter 2026!

A teaching assistant supports an instructor who is teaching a course. Teaching assistant work may include meeting with professors, marking assignments such as tests and essays, holding office hours to respond to student questions about the assignments or material, responding to student email queries, supervising lab hours, leading tutorial sessions, and invigilating exams, as well as other related work.

Graduate Programs Virtual Open House!

This three-hour virtual open house brings together Communication Graduate Program Directors across Canada to introduce their programs. Participating universities include: Calgary, Carleton, Concordia, McGill, McMaster, Ontario Tech, Ottawa, Royal Roads, SFU, TMU, U of Toronto, Waterloo, Western, Wilfrid Laurier, Windsor, and York.

Reduced Office Hours

The Media Information Centre will have reduced office hours Oct 16th.  Mic will be opening later in the day at 12:30am but remain open until 5:00 pm to assist students.

For students and colleagues interested in pursuing journalism and storytelling as a career, adding to your digital storytelling skills, or digging into a big project, Carleton University’s Journalism program is hosting three online information sessions this fall to answer questions about the graduate journalism (MJ) program.
