CVA is Hiring Five Teachers Assistants for Fall 2025!
A teaching assistant supports an instructor who is teaching a course. Teaching assistant work may include meeting with professors, marking assignments such as tests and essays, holding office hours to respond to student questions about the assignments or material, responding to student email queries, supervising lab hours, leading tutorial sessions, and invigilating exams, as well as other related work.

Journalism Guest Lecture
Journalism students at TRU are welcome to attend a guest lecture on Friday, February 7th with Castanet’s Tim Petruk and Kristen Holliday. They will be talking about investigative journalism, accessing court records, asking tough questions and filing FOIs.
Communications Assistant
The Communication Assistants play a critical role in delivering the communication initiatives for this region, with a focus on both internal and external communications projects. These projects help support staff, partners, media, and members of the public in understanding, and being informed on wildfire response.

Please join Nisha Puthur Gopalakrishnan, Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice student, for a screening of her short documentary ‘Distant Rainbows – The Realities of a Transgender Individual’s Life in Kerala’. This documentary explores the lived experiences of transgender individuals in Kerala, India, focusing on the continuing marginalization they endure despite progressive policies and initiatives by the government.
