Internship Opportunity with CAJ!

The Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ) is now accepting applications for its 2023 Winter Internship Program. This internship will run from January to April 2023.

Selected candidates will work closely with CAJ board members, staff, other interns and volunteers on a series of projects. These could include:

• Contributing to the association’s communications and social media activities
• Undertaking public-interest advocacy research
• Working on the delivery of our annual conference
• Assisting with our annual awards programmeThe ability to speak and write in both of Canada’s official languages will be considered a strong asset.

This opportunity is open exclusively to post-secondary students who can use the internship program for academic credit.What you’ll receive as an intern:

• A $500 honorarium
• A free one-year CAJ membership, which gives you access to all of our professionaldevelopment and networking opportunities
• A CAJ membership card
• A guaranteed match with a mentor as part of our mentorship program

To apply you need to:

• Submit a copy of your CV and up to three examples of your writing. Please note: If you are interested in doing graphic design work or video, please submit examples of past work in these areas.
• A formal one-page letter of interest that explains:
  a) Why are you interested in working with the CAJ?
  b) What do you hope to learn from your internship?
