Pattison Media Equity Scholarship for 2024 • Mic

Pattison Media Ltd. is pleased to provide up to eight (8) scholarships valued at $2,500 each to deserving students enrolled in Journalism, Radio and Television Broadcast studies as of January 2024. Pattison Media recognizes that there are significant challenges in recruiting well trained individuals to help staff our Radio and Television stations. With these eight scholarships, we can better equip our industry for the future.

The goal of these for scholarships is to award them to underrepresented groups in the Broadcasting industry including those who are:

Indigenous Persons
Persons with disabilities
Members of visible minorities
Women

The successful applicants will be enrolled in a qualified Journalism and qualified Radio or TV Broadcasting program in Western Canada. Distribution of the scholarships will include one (1) qualified Journalism applicant and one (1) qualified radio or television broadcasting applicant from each of the three geographic locations:

British Columbia
Alberta
Saskatchewan/Manitoba

Along with one (1) qualified applicant in each enrollment as an all-around recipient from all applications received.
