Teaching Assistant Opportunity

The Department of Communication and Visual Arts has positions available for teaching assistants in Communication and Journalism for the Fall 2023 and Winter 24 semesters.

We are looking for MA students and/or 4th year Communication and/or Journalism majors who are able to meet the following TRU requirements for a TA:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program at TRU
  • Completed at least 50% of their current program of study
  • Enrolled in at least 3.0 credits for the semester in which they would be employed
  • A minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Demonstrate English language proficiency

The successful applicants will assist faculty members who are currently teaching courses such as Introduction to Communication, Multimedia Storytelling, and areas of Public Relations. Duties include support and assistance with marking, classroom support and student tutorial as needed.
