CFBX is Looking for Volunteers
TRU’s campus-based community radio station is looking for energetic and creative volunteers to help out in roles on and off air. Volunteers do not need to be TRU students to get involved.
The station is in need of classical, hip-hop and First Nations hosts, as well as anyone interested in programming in a language other than English.
CFBX, which is entirely volunteer run, provides a wide variety of music and spoken-word programming. Listeners enjoy music across all genres, including folk, roots, country, classical, jazz, funk, blues, punk, metal, hip-hop and electronic. CFBX’s spoken-word programming covers a wide range of topics, including social and political issues, sports and entertainment.
The station’s spring volunteer drive begins on Monday, April 10 and runs through Sunday, April 23.
Prospective volunteers or anyone looking for more information can call CFBX at 250-377-3988, visit the station on campus at House 8 or email radio@thex.ca.
Students looking for experiential learning credits, could tie this to course credit. Contact Colleen Foucault, cfoucault@tru.ca, for details.
